In system/out of system
02/2025 Comprehensive Design
In system/out system is a project about information deconstruction and reorganization. This project comes from my long-term collection of everyday consumption receipts, cartons, labels, candy wrappers, etc, which originally carried specific information and functions, but became disorderly remnants after being used. I chose to disassemble and remix these visual elements to create a new expression that breaks away from the original classification system through the cross-substitution of materials and information.
All printed matter is placed in a document bag marked “out of system” to symbolize that it is no longer classified by the established system. Screen printing the visual information of receipts on the delivery carton, mixing the visual system of receipts and the carton.

= The tag information is printed on the label paper, and the vision system of the tag and the courier label is mixed.

In form/out print
03/2024Poster Design The project is based on disassembling and reassembling objects I have collected in the past, exploring how words and images create new visual relationships between hierarchy, order, and deconstruction. Finally, all the information is presented as an RISO poster, which gives the print a new life with unique color overprint and dot texture. In the design process, “in” represents the collation, induction, and extraction of information collected to make its content centralized and clear; “out” is the expansion and visual re-molding of this information, breaking the established classification logic, so that elements collide with each other in the layout, forming a new hierarchical relationship.

In orbit/out sight
04/2024 Comprehensive Design
This project is on cognitive boundaries and information reconstruction. We were inspired by the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. We try to transform the perspective into how aliens observe the Earth, and through multiple media such as posters, books, videos, AR images, etc., to build an information landscape that is both chaotic and orderly. The project consists of 18 large posters, which use multiple levels of typography, visual interference, and dynamic balance in the information organization so that the real and the virtual, the known and the unknown, are interwoven. The exhibition space further integrates AR images to break the limitation of two-dimensional vision, enabling viewers to shuttle between real and digital space.
In the design of the poster, the color of the scene in the movie is the main body, and the scene through the cycle in reality is combined with the movie. The overall layout follows the shackles of breaking the grid.

In the design of the book, there are many stories and records about space, so that the reader can have a deeper understanding of the story about space from the reading of the book.

The project also includes books made of transparent material and laser printing of film scenes on acrylic panels, allowing the viewer to experience multiple visual forms.

In structure/out perception
04/2024 Book Design By analyzing five design books, this project discusses and compares the differences between the five books from appearance size to content layout, from size, content, layout, to information organization. In the design of the book structure, format, and information hierarchy, the content is orderly and easy to read. At the same time, it pays attention to the experience, perception, and extension of reading, making the information more diversified and three-dimensional.

In/out as the result and purpose, design is not only about aesthetics but also about the organization and reconstruction of information. The arrangement of information determines the viewer’s cognition and interpretation. in makes information centralized and clear, while out gives it layers and extensions. Ultimately, the presentation of the design is a dynamic balance between in and out. Whether it is information architecture, layout arrangement, or visual language shaping, in and out work together to make the expression more diversified, elements more integrated, and texture richer. Design is not only the aesthetic presentation but also the reconstruction of information, through the “in” (concentration) and “out” (expansion) relationship of information, to promote the viewer’s deep understanding and cognition of information.
